View offline satellite images without stopping your current Activity. Offline maps: satellite images, topo maps, cycle and hiking trails... But you need the phone app "Map Chart Mosaic" (paid app available in iPhone App Store and Google Play Store) to download map data for your watch. Before starting the map download, choose the optimum zoom level: more details vs. wide range. Selecting a travel route, as shown in the video, will use the limited storage space more efficiently. Please be patient, the Garmin download is slow. Make sure the phone display does not switch off during download. If the download takes too long, the Garmin System may close the widget automatically. Just restart the widget and resume the download (Menu - Download) until you have reached 100%. But Widgets have a short life and when the time is up, the Garmin System will close the Widget automatically. If you prefer offline maps in a long running watch app, you should get the app "Map Chart". The widget "Satellite Map" and the watch app "Map Chart" are based on the same phone app "Map Chart Mosaic", i.e. you pay only one time for the phone app and can use both. You pay only one time for the phone app and can switch watches without having to pay again (Fitbit, Wear OS, Garmin...).
