A simple Hyperfocal Distance calculator for landscape photography. You can also enter the distance of your subject and it will calculate your nearest and farthest distances of being in focus (i.e. depth of field). ** Please report any bugs via the "Contact Developer" link. ** Features: * Option to force Subject Distance = Hyperfocal (h) Distance (default = Yes). Set it to "No" to find the Nearest (n) and Farthest (f) sharpness distances in relation to your chosen subject. * Supports Metric and Imperial (i.e. Metres and Feet). * Supports 4 sensor sizes/types: Full frame, Nikon DX (1.5x), Canon APS-C (1.6x), Micro 3/4 (2.0x) and a User-specified 'Circle of Confusion' value. These are labelled: "FX", "DX", "APS", "3/4" and User. 'Circle of Confusion' values for your camera's sensor can be input using Garmin Connect Mobile - To refresh the results on your watch you will need to enter and exit the app's menu. You can find your camera sensor's CoC by googling, or check out the URLs below. The CoC does vary depending on how one calculates it. For example the Nikon DX CoC value I use is 0.02, whereas some prefer a value of 0.019. Canon APS-C = 0.019 vs 0.018, etc. * “View GPS”. You can take a photo of your GPS coordinates at the beginning of your shoot if you like. Press the Select button to cycle through GPS coordinate formats. To conserve battery, the GPS is only enabled while viewing this screen. * 'Record Session' feature (experimental) to help you add GPS data to your photographs. Once enabled an activity tracking session starts, but with GPS disabled. View the “View GPS” screen to log a GPS location in your FIT data. A red dot will flash on the main screen to let you know when recording mode is enabled. It will not GPS track your whole session unless you leave the app on the GPS screen. Exit the GPS screen to conserve battery. When in recording mode, your watch will beep and vibrate to let you know when it has a good GPS signal, so you can know to exit the GPS screen. You might need to set "Data Recording" in your watch's settings to "Every Second" instead of "Smart" for better results. Use the Garmin Connect website to export your activity to .GPX file. You can then import the .GPX file into Adobe Lightroom, and let Lightroom sync your GPS data to your photographs using the timestamps on the photos. Your camera clock will most likely need to be in sync with your watch's time.
