BIT60 ROVR : Reactive Pixel Companion
· v1.0.3
About
ROVR is a tiny animated pixel robot with the difficult job of supervising your day. Steps, Body Battery, confirmed stress, heart rate, the move bar, device battery, notifications, weather and your chosen goal all influence his mood. He responds with the appropriate eyebrow configuration.
Nineteen expressions cover everything from peacefully asleep to critically undercharged. ROVR follows a strict order of priorities and never invents measurements. If Garmin cannot provide a value, he displays -- and declines to speculate.
Choose a goal: steps, floors, weekly intensity minutes, daily active minutes, distance or calories. ROVR travels along the goal rail, offers encouragement halfway through and celebrates completion with a flag and fireworks. He has no concept of subtle victory.
Build your own ROVR from four interchangeable parts: chassis, antenna, locomotion and handles. That makes 144 possible robots, ranging from sensible little machine to highly questionable appliance. His appearance is yours to choose. His emotional stability is handled by your data.
The fixed information field can show battery, Body Battery, heart rate, steps or weather and temperature. Time, date and goal remain readable while ROVR processes whatever has just happened to him.
Weather comes with its own pixel scenery. Rain, snow, sleet and storms move behind ROVR. Fog and wind pass in front but politely avoid his visor, because that is where most of the acting happens. Weather animation can run continuously, appear briefly after waking the watch or remain still.
ROVR wears a carefully tuned amber, graphite and cool-sky color palette. Monochrome displays receive the same personality with fewer crayons. AMOLED devices also get a minimal, burn-in-aware always-on mode containing only the clock, ROVR and his rail.
ROVR processes your data locally on the watch and judges you in complete privacy. If you want to learn more about why ROVRs behaviour you can learn more on https://bit60.de/rovr.html#moods
