SUMMIT: Mountain Watch Face

SUMMIT puts a mountain range across the bottom of your watch and keeps everything else out of the way: a large, high-contrast time, four data fields you choose, and nothing you didn't ask for. A deep black background and high-contrast type keep it readable in bright sun and low light alike — and on AMOLED watches, that black background is easy on the battery. FOUR DATA FIELDS Pick what goes in each corner from altitude, steps, heart rate, battery, calories, distance, floors climbed, or active minutes. Or switch any of them off for a cleaner face. TWO OPTIONAL GAUGES Add an arc gauge to either side to track progress toward a goal — steps, battery, floors, or active minutes — each with its own icon. Both fill upward, and both are off until you turn them on. FOUR THEMES Stone, Alpine, Ember and Mono, each retinting the mountain artwork to match. CONFIGURE IT ANYWHERE Change any setting from the watch itself or from Garmin Connect — both stay in sync. MORE • Ticking seconds, or turn them off to save battery • Date, plus sunrise time when a GPS fix is available • Compass heading while an activity or navigation is running • On touchscreen watches, press and hold a data field to open the matching app • Always-on support on AMOLED watches, dimmed and shifted to protect the display GOOD TO KNOW Seconds tick once per second on MIP watches (fēnix, Forerunner 255/945, MARQ and similar); on AMOLED watches they show while the screen is awake. The compass heading needs an activity or navigation session feeding it and shows "--" otherwise. Sunrise needs a recent GPS fix. Floors and active minutes depend on your watch supporting them. Reworked the always-on display for AMOLED watches. Tick ring, gauges and icons now scale correctly on 416 and 454 px screens, where they were drawn about half size. Sunrise no longer stays blank all day when there's no position fix at midnight. Roughly half the drawing work per redraw. Several smaller display fixes.
