SpeedGuard keeps you on target by beeping the moment your speed drops below your goal. • Designed for cycling data screens • Smart beeping that intensifies as you slow down • Stay above your target speed at all times • Clear status: ON / NEED EFFORT / OFF Settings (via Connect IQ application): • Min Speed 20 km/h — beep alerts when speed drops below this value • Stop alerts below 10 km/h — prevents beeping when you slow down or stop Premium features: • Adjustable Min Speed — set your own target speed • Adjustable stop threshold — prevents alerts at low speeds Audio alerts require Tones to be enabled on your Edge device. ############ How to install SpeedGuard on your Edge ############ 1. Open the Garmin Connect IQ Store app on your phone. 2. Search for “SpeedGuard”. 3. Open SpeedGuard and tap Install. 4. Sync your Edge with the Garmin Connect app. The Data Field will be installed automatically. 5. Add SpeedGuard to your data screen After installation, SpeedGuard must be added to a data screen: 1. On your Edge, open the activity profile you use for cycling. 2. Go to Data Screens. 3. Select an existing data screen, or create a new one. 4. Choose the data field you want to replace. 5. Select Connect IQ. 6. Select SpeedGuard. 7. Save the data screen and start your activity. Configure SpeedGuard Open Garmin Connect on your phone: More → Garmin Devices → your Edge → Activities & Applications → Data Fields → SpeedGuard → Settings Button Change the settings and tap Save. The changes are applied after the Edge syncs with Garmin Connect. IMPORTANT: Make sure Tones are enabled on your Edge to hear SpeedGuard's audio alerts.
