Lunar Calendar is a Vietnamese lunar calendar app for Garmin watches. The Vietnamese lunar calendar on your wrist, with the parts a wall calendar actually prints: the lunar date, the sexagenary pillars, the solar term, and the festivals that follow the moon rather than the sun. The month opens as a grid. Each square carries the solar date in white and the lunar date under it in blue, so you read both at once. The first day of a lunar month shows its month number, full moons and festival days stand out, and today is circled. Tap any day for the full card: the lunar day and month, whether that lunar month runs 29 or 30 days, whether it is a leap month, the can chi pillars for the day, the month and the year, and the solar term with the days left until the next one. Festivals included: Lunar New Year, the first full moon, Cold Food, Hung Kings Day, Buddha's Birthday, the mid-year festival, the Ghost Festival, Mid-Autumn, and the Kitchen Gods. A glance from the watch face shows today's lunar date and its day pillar. Vietnamese first, English alongside. In Vietnamese you get the names as they are written at home - Tháng Giêng, Tết Nguyên đán, ngày Nhâm Tuất. In English the pillars carry their meaning - "Binh Ty · Fire Rat" - and the zodiac follows the Vietnamese order, where the fourth animal is the Cat, not the Rabbit. Switch either way inside the app, whatever language the watch itself is set to.
