Radar - GPS Treasure Hunt
· v1.0.1
About
Radar hides a treasure somewhere around you — a random direction, a random distance — and gives you nothing but warmer and colder. Two short buzzes: warmer. One long: colder. Close in and the radar starts ticking like a Geiger counter. Walk until it says burning. That's the whole game, and it gets people out of the door.
Every treasure is worth XP: for every kilometre walked, for the find itself, for how straight your line was and how fast you were. Level up from Rookie to Legend, earn hints, fill a collection of sixteen treasures from copper coins to a dragon egg, and keep a daily streak going with the shared daily treasure — the same bearing for everyone, today.
WHAT IT DOES
- Classic mode: warmer / colder vibrations and a heat word from freezing to burning
- Sonar mode: exact distance, no direction — triangulate it yourself (1.3× XP)
- Blind mode: vibration only, nothing on screen (1.6× XP)
- Four distances: short (250–500 m) to epic (2.5–5 km)
- Daily treasure with streak bonus; Expedition: three treasures in a row
- Hints that reveal the direction for a few seconds, earned by levelling up
- Move the treasure when water or a fence is in the way; give up and keep the walking XP
- XP breakdown per hunt: walked, found, efficiency, speed bonus, daily, streak, expedition
- 20 levels with rank names, 16 collectible treasures in four rarities, 12 badges, history
- Records each hunt as a walk in Garmin Connect (optional)
- Glance with level, XP bar and today's treasure status
- Metric or imperial, vibration strength, sounds; English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish
