About

The Widget newSwissGrid displays the actual position in three different coordinate-systems: - WGS84: (longitude and latitude) in decimal degrees - Swiss Grid LV95: New Swiss Grid (CH1903+ / LV95) in meters - Swiss Grid LV03: Old Swiss Grid (CH1903 / LV03) in meters On the bottom of the screen a small number (0 ….. 4) field shows the quality of the satellites-signal: - 0: Quality is not available (GPS is not available) - 1: Quality used is the last known value (the Location is based on the last known GPS fix). - 2: Quality is poor (the Location was calculated with a poor GPS fix. Only a 2-D GPS fix is available, likely due to a limited number of tracked satellites). - 3: Quality is usable (the Location was calculated with a usable GPS fix. A 3-D GPS fix is available, with marginal HDOP (horizontal dilution of precision)). - 4: Quality is good (the Location was calculated with a good GPS fix. A 3-D GPS fix is available, with good-to-excellent HDOP (horizontal dilution of precision)). Outside the borders of Switzerland the Swiss Grid values are disabled (the value will display “out of area”). The Widget newSwissGrid has only been developed and tested for the Fenix 5x.
