This is great, no?! But keep in mind that it does not enhance or influence the recording capabilities of your device. It has no effect on the data and on how the activities are recorded. This is completely done by the recording module of the device. 2) A data field is not being displayed or displaying a wrong value The app retrieves data mainly from: https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/api-docs/ Except for unit conversions and very simple calculations, the data is not processed by the app. It is just displayed when available. It means that, if certain data is not shown, it is because your device is not able to do so (it can be a temporary problem on your sensors, a firmware bug, or maybe your device does not support the data field). For example, although everything works well on the simulator, sometimes the temperature isn't displayed on my Vivoactive HR. I could never seen the 'Training effect'. And my build-in compass sometimes fails - that's why the direction to the start point is primaly calculated using the displacement. 3) Requests for new data fields The main purpose of the Route Planner is to present the data which is directly available on the API (see link above) on a nice interface. So we had to concentrate our efforts - and the available resources such as memory and processing power - on the screen design. Extra data fields would require more calculations, and that isn’t our priority here. Furthermore, the app has the general purpose of recording many types of activities. Information which is relevant only for few sports would have a negative impact on what we wanted to do with the available resources. 4) The Pro Version In the free version, the route and instructions will be hidden after 12min or if you are further than 2km from the start. They handle the payments and collect taxes. Therefore the prices may vary from country to country. After you upgrade, send a new route from the phone to the watch in order to unlock. _____ Route recommendations may be incomplete and/or inaccurate, and may contain sections of private land and/or sections of terrain that could be challenging or hazardous. Always use your best judgement about the safety of the road and trail conditions and follow traffic and property laws.
