About

This is my first attempt at a simple watch face. The face combines a simple analog face, that changes color based on the Weather Condition of the location, the user is located in. Also include is a simple digital readout of the time (24 Hr format). Four distinct regions allow elements such as for Date,Temperature, Pressure, Weather Condition, Watch Battery, Heart Rate, and Body Batty to be displayed. In this first version. Please note, only the weather condition element, analog watch hands and watch face numbers changes color based on weather condition. The Pressure data element will change color based on the weather (i.e. Good Weather - Green, Fair Weather - Yellow, Bad or Unknown Weather - Red). The battery level which, is displayed in days remaining will do something similar. Body Battery percentage will be displayed in blue. Heart Rate will be displayed in red. The Remaining elements such as Date, Digital Time, and Temperature will be customizable via a settings for Static Elements. This watch face does have some additional settings you can customize. If the Dynamic Weather Color setting if enabled, it will update the Analog Watch features (Numbers and hands) color, based on weather conditions. If you disable the setting, you can then use the face color setting to set what color you like. There is also settings to display temperature and pressure in a couple different metrics. There are also settings to enable/disable Weather Condition and Digital Time. Some people like a more clean watch face with less elements. Each Region can also be disabled to make the watch face bare bones. As stated this is first attempt at a simple watch face. So please take that into account if you choose to download it. I also only physically test on a MIP Fenix 8 device, so take that into account, when reviewing the colors. Overall there are 50+ weather conditions that the face color will update for. Not all of them are manually selectable if you choose to turn off the dynamic option. Thought I’d keep things a little interesting. + Please note that all icons used in this watch face come from the Open Source Icons Location At https://fonts.google.com/icons. +Please also note, if any of the data elements display a "-", make sure you are synced with your garmin device (Phone). The same is also true if you see a "?" for weather condition. Please feel free to review and let me know what you think of the face. If you see any issues, please reach out and let me know.

What's new

V1.4 Update: -Fixed potential null issue loading the Weather Icon if Watch looses connection to Garmin App. V1.3.1 Update: - Removed a Left Over Debug Statement. V1.3 Update: - New setting added called "Special Themes". This setting will override the general color rules of the watch face (Hands and Numbers), and instead will display a custom color theme. In this update, I've added a Halloween theme. If enabled, the numbers on the watch face, will have a eerie orange glow color. The watch hands will be a lighter orange. Data fields will not be changed by the theme in in this update. However, if a special theme is activated, Dynamic Color mode will be overridden even if the setting is enabled . Also, any static Face Color will be overridden as well. You will need to disable, any special themes in order to return to the previous color rules. - Additional housekeeping to enhance the fall back ability of the watch face. In the even there is a null situation. V1.2.2 Update: - Added control to only update weather conditions every 5 minutes. This will help conserve battery life. - Object clean up to be more efficient and preserve memory usage. V1.2.1: -Updated Device Compatibility List. Older versions of some previous listed devices had issues with some of the data elements. I will be looking at expanding the list of devices, as additional updates are made. V1.2 - Added more robust checks for getting sunset/sunrise data. This prevents the watch face from crashing if there is a issue getting location and weather data. Such as the Garmin APP not being open for some time on the user's device or sky conditions preventing a position. V1.1- See updates below, and please feel free to leave a review. If you encounter any issues with the watch face, please let me know what device you are using, and the IQ settings you have enabled for the app. I will need this info so I can try and duplicate the issue, and fix it. 1. Added additional data options for region 4 ( UV Index, and Humidity). The UV index will change colors based on value. Green for Low, Yellow for Moderate, Orange for High, Red for very high and Purple for extreme. 2. Added new data element option for region 3 to display Sunrise/Sunset. The value displayed will depend on the time of day of the user's locations. 3a. Reduced the text size of the digital time feature, and moved it 5% lower on watch face. 3b. Tweaked the region data elements to draw slightly lower under their icons. 3c. Adjusted Zone 4 drawing to center slightly to the left more. 4. Made color selectable for Steps, Heart Rate, and Body Battery. The color for these values will now be determined by the Static Text Color option in IQ Settings. Overall, Steps, Heart Rate, Date, Sunrise/Sunset, Body Battery, Temperature, Digital Time, and Humidity values are controlled by this setting. UV Index, Device Battery, and Pressure are determined by their values and adjust automatically. Please note too, that icon colors are not changeable.
