The automatic light turns on after specific movement and with a significant delay. Pressing button to turn on the light requires use of a second hand which is ...not very handy... It is not good to waste the time to check out the time :-) In this case it is important to use as much of the display contrast as possible and use elements of the watchface as large as possible to get it readable at a glance. Moreover , cognitive science has documented that certain types of information (e.g., the time of day) are perceived and processed more quickly when they are presented as analog information. Analog gauge provides a quicker estimate of the information. The MoonLight watchface uses white and red colors on the black background to indicate time. The hour and minute indicators are shown using bold areas for increased visibility and faster readability. Additionally this watchface shows current moon phase and remainds you to move if the activity monitor is turned on. The time to the sunset is shown by a yellow arc around the watch face. The time of the sunrise is indicated by a small circle at the border of the watch face. These indicators show up when time to sunrise or sunset is less than 12 hours. The battery indicator shown at the 6th hour fills with red or black color as the battery power decreases and shows the remaining power in percents when the remaining energy decreases below 10 %. Thanks to the suggestions and feedback from the users, the watchface is continuously being improved.
