User Configurable settings description:
- Background Type – this is where you specify whether you would like a solid colored background, striped background or checkerboard pattern. The choices for the background type include; vertical, horizontal, circular, sunburst, striping per quadrant, checkerboard or solid colored background.
- Stripe Density – This is used to determine how many stripes are in the background. The choices are High, Medium and Low
- First stripe color, Second stripe color and background color – If you have chosen a striped or checkerboard background the first and second stripe colors will be used and background color will be ignored. Otherwise the background color will be used to determine the solid colored background. With amoled display devices you can use the color choices liberally but with MIP display devices I have found that darker colors work best for striping. Combinations with Black, Dark Blue, Maroon and Indigo are good choices but experiment to find the choice that works best for you.
- Quadrant background choices – you can set each quadrant to solid background, vertical or horizontal stripes
- Use Military Time – Select this option for a 24 hour clock
- Seconds Display – Select this option to have the seconds displayed as the watch comes out of sleep. This is not an always on seconds display. It will display for 10 seconds when the watch wakes up then it disappears
- Hours, Minutes, Seconds color – Use these to set the colors for the time
- Date Color – set according to choice
- Data Color – this sets the color of the heartrate, active minutes, floors climbed, battery percentage and step count
- Icon Color – you can have the watch display white, red or black icons
- Rounded rectangle Fill Color – active minutes, floors climbed, Bluetooth connectivity, Alarms set, Battery percentage are all encased in either circles or rounded rectangles to make them more easily readable. This sets the colors for these objects
Features of the watch face include:
- Ability to change colors to your preference. Editable color fields include: background, activity data, time and rectangular fill color
- Data fields displayed include: activity minutes, step count, date, time, number of floors climbed, heart rate and battery percentage
- Graphically displayed on the watch face there are graphs for heart rate zone and progress towards your step goal
- For the heart rate zone graph there is a line indicating where your heart rate resides within the zone. Each zone is colored according to Garmin’s convention and as your heart rate moves from one zone to the next the new zone’s arc increases in size to more easily see which zone you are in at a glance
- The steps graph is red at the beginning of the day and as you progress towards your step goal the graph turns green according to your progress and is 100% green when you reach your daily goal
- Metrics for the graphs are also displayed numerically. Step count and heart rate BPM are displayed along side of their graphs.
- The Bluetooth connectivity icon is visible when it is connected and disappears when it is not.
- The alarm icon is visible when an alarm is set and it disappears when there are no alarms set.
- Low power watch face included to support watches with amoled displays. Low power watch face will only display time
