About

Complex datafield to compute and display : - the total ascend and descend - the trend of ascending and descending for last x minute - the ascending and descending by hour : the vertical speed up and down - the max of the ascending and descending by hour You can try the free verion in black and white and buy if you want the color version. You can parameter : - the ranges of your ascending by hour - the ranges for your descending by hour - the colors of the inferior range, the delta range, the normal range and the superior range - the tittle of the datafield - the number ot minute for the trend - the number of second before the flip/switch and for the flip/switch between ascending and descending The datafield will automatically switch between ascending and descending display. If no difference of altitude is detected, the datafield will flip/switch between ascending and descending display. The trend is the ascending or descending by hour calculated for the last x minute. The trend will indicate if your vertical speed is : - not more than in the delta range - one time more than the delta range - two times more than the delta range - three times more than the delta range Arrows up indicate a trend incresing during the last x minute compared to the calculated vertial speed by hour Arrows down indicate a trend decresing during the last x minute compared to the calculated vertial speed by hour Minus sign indicates descending display Plus sign indicates ascending display No automatic pause. If the altitude is stable the compute will continue on the last movement : on ascending or descending. So if you were going up and after stop at the same altitude, you will see your ascending speed by hour decreasing during the time of your stop. First developed for the garmin descent mk2i to check the ascending speed for ski touring. To be sure that i could repect the minimum performance of 300meter/hour for a total ascent of 1000m. I use it also with different ranges for hiking and mountain biking. Please be sure to respect the following rules for the data you can parameter to have a coherent display : "0" less than "inferior range" less than "delta range" less than "superior range" For example 0,300,310,350 The delta range is here to tell you that ok you are in the good range but just at the begining of the good range. So don't slow down if you want to stay inside the good range. If you see the cursor position for the color bar outside of the bar maybe you should adapt your ranges. It works like the heart ranges color bars. Please choose good colors for the ranges depending of the background color to have better contrast and so a better display. This is a complex display the layout must be wide and high enough to correctly display all the information.
