About
There is a new and improved version of this watchface called M2 (+ M2 Designer) which I recommend everyone uses now instead (it is a lot easier to customise): https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/1b4e3210-8105-487b-9f3a-8d538e6fed55
-----
A high-quality minimalist watch face designed with a seconds indicator moving around the outside of a clean stylish display.
-----
Settings are grouped into a few main sections, from basic to advanced - see the forum thread for a step by step guide on changing displayed field data and other useful tips (https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/showcase/163882/watchface-m1 or click the Companion Hardware link to get there easily):
○ Time - main hours & minutes display
○ Seconds indicator - customize appearance and style
○ Ring Display - outer circular bar which fills up to show a value like steps count or battery
○ Fields - up to 8 of these (each with 6 elements), which can be positioned anywhere. Display things like:
- Date (choose the elements to display and separators between them)
- Status indicators (alarm on/off, notifications pending etc)
- Values like step count, battery percentage
- Move bar
○ Profiles - advanced tool to remember all the settings for the watch face, so you can switch between different styles. These can also be set to automatically activate between specified times.
-----
If you have a Fenix 5X / D2 Charlie don't use GCM to change settings as there is a bug in CIQ that Garmin are investigating! But the new Garmin Connect IQ Store app on mobile works - so please use that as a workaround: iTunes for iOS at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/connect-iq-store/id1317652970 or Google Play for Android at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.garmin.connectiq
What's new

-----
1.0.3
- Fix for 12 hour time display (12:00 instead of 00:00)
- Added AM & PM indicators for fields
- Fix for potential week number error in some time zones
- Improved cedilla and ogonek on some thin field fonts
- Improved jagged corners on extra light italic time font
- Freeing up memory for future features
-----
1.0.2
- Added optional colon separator between hours & minutes of main time (seems to look best when hours & minutes are using the same font)
- Support for new devices (Forerunner 245, 245 Music & 945)
- Renamed "Field Number" to "Field Number To Manage"
-----
To see examples of different styles try turning on "Demo Profiles" (setting near the bottom). Note that when toggling "Demo Profiles" no other settings get saved (to avoid accidental changes). To keep using a style: open settings while it is active and save the settings (check Profile Management is on Update Watch Settings). Then open settings again and turn off "Demo Profiles".
-----
The best way to change advanced settings is by having this watch face currently active on your watch and using Garmin Connect Mobile or the new Garmin Connect IQ Store app on mobile - this allows you to see changes quickly. If the watch face is not the active one on your watch then any changes won't be processed until you next make it the active one. Using Garmin Express will also work, but when you make changes in order for the watch to process them you need to disconnect the watch from the USB cable so the watch face is running (and then connect it again to see or update the settings) - this is particularly slow when retrieving field or profile settings.

More details on fields:
Note 1: the settings only show & modify the values for one field at a time - as specified by Field Number. When you send new settings then Field Management controls if it is turned on or off, and the other field settings below get applied. To modify another field, change the Field Number, position offsets and elements and send the settings again - the other 7 fields are not modified and are remembered by your watch.
Note 2: to get back the settings for a particular field, set Field Management to "Retrieve" and set the Field Number, then send the settings (this will not modify the values on the watch). When you open the settings again, the values displayed are for the field you specified - you can adjust them and send to the watch again.
More details on profiles:
Use Profile Management to control profiles. When you Save/Load/Copy/Export/Import then the profile is displayed for 2 minutes before returning to your normal Watch Settings.
- Watch Settings: the default settings displayed when no profile is active.
- User profiles 1 to 24 which can be saved, loaded, or copied to the current watch settings.
- Pre-set profiles (25+, currently to 38) which can be loaded (modified, then saved to a user profile).
- User profiles can be set to activate automatically on specific days and times (e.g. at the weekend, on your commute, during the night). Or set them to load at random! Or use "Demo Profiles" to cycle through your favourites.
- If you set a Gesture Profile, then using a glance gesture will make that profile active for a few seconds.
- Export or Import a saved profile as 3 text strings - useful for copying to another device, or for backing up settings.
