YardUltra - Backyard Ultra
· v1.2.0
About
Know exactly where you stand on every Backyard Ultra yard.
YardUltra is a full-screen Garmin data field built specifically for Backyard Ultra racing. It keeps everything you need visible on one screen, including whether you’re on course to finish the yard in time and how much rest you’re likely to have before the next bell.
KEY FEATURES
• Automatic yard counter
• 60-minute yard timer
• Current yard distance
• Heart rate
• Projected yard finish time
• Projected rest time before the next bell
• Dedicated rest countdown after pressing LAP
• 3, 2 and 1 minute warnings before the next yard
• Automatic transition into the next yard
• Automatically follows your Garmin distance setting – kilometres or miles
IMPORTANT — TURN AUTO LAP OFF
Before starting a Backyard Ultra, disable Auto Lap in your Run activity settings.
YardUltra uses the LAP button to mark the completion of each yard. If Auto Lap is enabled, an automatic lap may cause YardUltra to enter the REST screen early.
Leave the Garmin activity running continuously throughout the event and only press LAP manually when you complete a yard.
HOW TO USE
1. Turn Auto Lap OFF in your Run activity settings.
2. Add YardUltra as a full-screen data field to the Run activity.
3. Start your Garmin activity on the first Backyard bell.
4. Leave the activity running continuously throughout the event.
5. Do not pause the activity during rest periods.
6. Press LAP once when you complete each yard.
7. YardUltra switches to the REST screen and counts down to the next hourly start.
8. At the next 60-minute boundary, YardUltra automatically starts the next yard.
IMPORTANT
Do not pause the Garmin activity during rest periods. YardUltra uses the continuous activity elapsed time to keep every yard aligned to the hourly start.
Official Backyard Ultra yard distance:
6.7056 km / 4.1667 miles.
What's new
Added support for a much wider range of Garmin watches and improved device compatibility.
YardUltra’s core functionality remains the same.
