Penumbra

Penumbra is a bright, data-dense digital watch face built for people who want the whole picture at a glance — the time, your day's activity, and the sky outside — without digging through menus. The hours and minutes dominate the centre in big, clean digits, with the seconds set a size smaller in your chosen accent colour so they never get in the way. Named for the penumbra — the soft edge between light and shadow — the face ships with both a Light and a Dark theme, so it looks right in the sun or in the dark, on your wrist or on the nightstand. Around the time sits a full ring of complications, each with a crisp icon: • Heart rate • Body Battery • Device battery • Steps • Distance (miles or kilometres, matched to your watch units) • Calories • Floors climbed • Alarms • Notifications • Live weather — current temperature, today's high/low, and a condition icon that reflects the actual sky: sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, snow, thunderstorm, windy, fog, or wintry mix. The date sits up top, with AM/PM folded in automatically when your watch is set to 12-hour time. Make it yours in the settings: • Theme — Light (white background, black digits) or Dark (black background, white digits) • Accent colour — Orange, Blue, Green, Red, or Yellow for the seconds • Show Seconds — turn the seconds off to save battery on AMOLED watches • Show Date — on or off • Show Weather — on or off Penumbra is laid out relative to your screen, so it looks sharp on everything from compact fenix and Forerunner models to the largest AMOLED displays — fenix, epix, Forerunner, Venu, vivoactive, Instinct, Approach, Descent, D2, and MARQ. Everything that depends on a sensor or a connected phone (heart rate, Body Battery, weather) is checked safely at runtime, so the face keeps working even when a feature isn't available — it simply shows a dash until the data arrives. Note: weather data comes from the Garmin Connect app on your phone. Keep the app connected and weather enabled to see live conditions.
