RUZ2 for Zone 2 Training
· v1.24
About
A Cycling Data Field for Garmin Edge devices to optimize Zone 2 training by providing visual and audio guidance of heart rate or power.
In Settings the User can select to use either Heart Rate or Power readings as the observed metric. Set the "Lower Limit" as the bottom of the Heart Rate or Power range to track, and the "Higher Limit" as the top of this range.
The Settings also allow the user to enable/disable both the screen colors, screen Zone Metrics and audio alerts that occur when the metric either enters or goes out of the Zone 2 range.
During a ride, the background color of the RUZ2 data field will change to reflect whether the current Heart Rate or Power is below the Lower Limit, within the target range, or above the "Higher Limit" as follows:
Below Lower Limit: Blue
In Target Range: Green
Above Higher Limit: Red
The Zone Metrics to the right of the screen show the percentage of the Activity time that has been within each of the 3 Zones: below the Lower Limit, in the Target Range, or above the Higher Limit.
