Is it raining where you're heading? Will you need that rain jacket? RainUp is a weather data field that gives you real-time rain information for where you are and where you're heading. Purposefully simple to read, understand and act on. Just the information you need during a ride - without fancy graphs, clutter and a paywall. It uses your location, speed and heading to estimate where you'll be in the next 30–60 minutes, then continuously updates the rain forecast along your projected route. The screen updates every second. The rain forecast refreshes every five minutes, and every time whenever you make a significant change in direction. Features: - Current rain conditions - Rain forecast at your projected location - Estimated rain arrival and clearing times - ▲ moving forecast (points to the direction of the forecasted rain) - ⊙ stationary forecast for current location - Six-hour sparkline for rainfall trend - Data staleness indicator Rain intensity wording: - Dry/Clear: no rain - Drizzle: up to 0.2 mm/h - Light rain: 0.2 – 1.0 mm/h - Moderate rain: 1.0 – 4.0 mm/h - Heavy rain: over 4.0 mm/h Six-hour sparkline's rain intensity height - Empty: dry hour - Short bar: Drizzle (~10–25% of full) - Medium bar: Light rain (~25–50%) - Tall bar: Moderate rain (~50–75%) - Full bar: Heavy rain (75%+) RainUp uses forecast data from Open-Meteo. Forecast accuracy depends on: - GPS accuracy - Phone connection and data availability - Availability and resolution of forecast data in your area - Rapidly changing local weather conditions Supported devices Edge 530, 540, 550, 830, 840, 850, 1030, 1040, 1050, Edge Explore 2 and Edge MTB. v2.4 - Fixed long messages running off the edge of the field on the larger layouts. - Removed the rainfall figure from the top row. - Removed the distance to the rain from the bottom row. - Changed rainfall to whole millimetres. - Added Continuing 'x'h on the middle row when the weather ahead matches the weather now. - Changed the status messages to No GPS signal, No phone link and No weather data.
