Activity Feels – Perceived Temperature by Effort
· v7.3.3
About
Activity Feels turns current weather into a simple 0–10 difficulty score for outdoor training.
Because the same conditions feel different during an easy walk and a hard workout, the app calculates three scores:
• LOW — walking and easy sessions
• MODERATE — brisk walking and Zone 2 running
• VIGOROUS — tempo, intervals and hard efforts
A lower score means the weather should be easier to train in. Higher scores indicate more challenging or potentially severe heat or cold.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
The main screen shows all three scores together, along with the current air temperature and weather description. An animated background reflects conditions such as clear skies, clouds, rain, snow, wind and storms, including day and night variations.
FACTORS
Activity Feels considers the environmental factors that affect how your body manages heat:
• Air temperature
• Humidity
• UV index
• Altitude
WHY WIND IS NOT INCLUDED
Wind can change dramatically over short distances and is easily blocked by buildings, trees and terrain. Because it cannot provide consistent, location-specific guidance, it is deliberately excluded from the score.
HOW IT WORKS
Activity Feels starts with a perceived-temperature model, adjusts it for environmental conditions and workout intensity, then converts the result into a 0–10 training-difficulty score.
A dedicated How It Works page explains the methodology and purpose in plain language.

New: Bring your own weather with OpenWeatherMap
Activity Feels now works even better in spots where your watch's built-in weather is patchy or slow to update. You can connect your own OpenWeatherMap account and choose exactly where your weather comes from.
What's new
Connect OpenWeatherMap — add your free OpenWeatherMap key in Settings and Activity Feels will pull live conditions straight from their network.
Pick your plan — choose the Free weather service, or the paid One Call option if you want UV index and dew point sourced from OpenWeatherMap too.
Choose what comes from where — flip a switch for each detail (temperature, humidity, conditions, UV, dew point). Anything you leave off simply keeps using your watch's built-in weather, so you can mix and match.
Set your update pace — refresh every 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes to balance freshness against battery and data use.
Always has your back — if OpenWeatherMap is turned off, missing a key, or briefly unreachable, Activity Feels automatically falls back to your watch's built-in weather. You'll never be left without a reading.
Everything you already love — the Feels Like scores, the factors breakdown, the animated weather backdrop, the coach windows — now reflects your chosen weather source. No account required to keep using the app exactly as before; the new options are entirely opt-in.
