About

Control your Samsung Smart TV straight from your Fenix — no phone in your hand, no fumbling for a lost remote. It needs a free companion app on an Android phone: the watch cannot reach a TV on its own. REQUIRES AN ANDROID PHONE This app does not talk to your TV directly. It needs the free companion app "TV Command Hub" on an Android phone, which forwards commands from your watch to the TV over your home Wi-Fi: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xoens.tvcommandhub iOS IS NOT SUPPORTED, and no iOS version is planned. iOS cannot keep the required background Bluetooth listener alive when the phone is locked, which is exactly what this setup depends on. FOUR CONTROL MODES Long-press UP to cycle between them. Each mode has its own colour, and switching now brings up a card showing exactly what the four buttons do in that mode. NAV (blue) UP = TV Up DOWN = TV Down START = OK BACK = TV Back NAV+ (green) UP = TV Right DOWN = TV Left START = OK BACK = TV Back VOL (orange) UP = Volume up DOWN = Volume down START = OK BACK = Exit PWR (red) START = Power on/off, including waking the TV from standby A delivered command buzzes the watch, so you know it reached the TV without looking. ON FENIX 8 Touch models get a touch-first layout instead: tap the buttons on screen, swipe up and down for volume, swipe left to change page. Your app shortcuts get a page of their own. APP SHORTCUTS Set up to 4 tiles in the phone app — Netflix, YouTube, HBO Max, or anything else installed on your TV — and launch them straight from the watch. MAKE IT YOURS Seven colours are configurable from the Garmin Connect app: background, each of the three mode colours, the OK button, hints and status text. WHAT TO EXPECT Commands travel watch → Bluetooth → phone → Wi-Fi → TV, so allow roughly 1-2 seconds from press to reaction. That is the nature of the bridge, not a bug. Everything stays on your local network; no command ever touches a server. REQUIREMENTS • A Samsung Smart TV running Tizen (roughly 2016 models and newer) • An Android phone with the free TV Command Hub app installed • Phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi network • The Garmin Connect app, with your watch paired TRY BEFORE YOU BUY 7-day free trial. It does not start when you install — it starts the first time the phone app answers your watch, so setting everything up costs you nothing. After that the app asks for a one-time unlock code, handled by KiezelPay — pay once, works forever, on all your compatible devices. NOT AFFILIATED WITH SAMSUNG This is an independent third-party app. Samsung and Tizen are trademarks of Samsung Electronics. The app uses Samsung's undocumented local network protocol, which means a TV firmware update can change or break it. When that happens we fix it — 2024+ OLED models already needed three extra launch paths. SUPPORT [email protected]

What's new

Now works on fēnix 9, including the fēnix 9 Pro Solar. No other changes — if you are on a fēnix 6, 7 or 8, this update does nothing for you.
