About

Marathon Planning App. This is an app to work instead of my Marathon Plan datafield as older watches don't support web access from a field. Both are companions to my Marathon Planning website app: run.drewshardlow.com You can configure your marathon plan on my website and on starting your running activity on this app. It will download the selected workout for the day for you to start your structured training. It shows your pace numerically and as a white pointer (at the 12 position if you are at the right pace). It shows your distance ahead or behind for each phase of training both as a numerical value at the 9 position and as a blue pointer (at the 12 position if neither ahead nor behind). The interval number is displayed at the 3 position in yellow out of the total number of intervals. The step distance left is displayed at the 6 position both graphically and numerically in meters (or km) remaining. It provides a warning as the interval step end approaches with both vibration and tone depending on the device and also indicates with vibration and tone the start of the next. You will also need to enter your email and password used for the website on the settings on your Garmin watch.

What's new

You are now able to use Garmin's native power to provide a flat pace from power value (FP2). This can be used in preference to simple pace when you are training on undulating or hilly terrain. For this to be enabled, the relationship between power has to be established from a *.FIT or *.TCX file first in the Tools/Analyse Data tab of my website run.drewshardlow.com. This calibration run should be done during a flat run at various paces, preferrably on the track.
