About
A double retrograde watch face built on the Piri Reis chart of 1513 — the map that drew a southern coastline three centuries before anyone sailed there.
Two hands swing from a single pivot at the top of the dial. The left one walks the hour scale, the right one the minutes. Both return to a shared zero and set out again — the retrograde motion of eighteenth-century clockwork, redrawn for a screen.
The dial itself is an engraved nautical chart: coastlines, wind roses, hatched seas. Not a photograph pasted behind the hands, but a plate cut to suit the pixels it lives on.
FIVE STYLES
Glacier — ice-blue chart, bone-white hands
Verdigris — aged copper patina, gilt markings
Ember — warm amber on black
Olivine — muted field green
Whiteout — pale chart, minimal contrast
