The application works with August Wifi connected smart locks or smart locks powered by August. step by step instructions for use are below . 1) Configure Smart Lock settings ("login method" box, "username" box & "password" box) by navigating to Devices --- Apps --- Widgets --- Smart Lock --- Settings in Garmin Connect. . 2) Start the app to allow it to sign in and register to August. . 3) August will send you one time verification code (6 digits) by means of your "login method", either by text message on your phone or email. . 4) Enter this verification code in the Smart Lock settings ("verify code" box) by navigating to Devices --- Apps --- Widgets --- Smart Lock --- Settings in Garmin Connect. . 5) Start the app again to allow it to continue registering itself with August. . 6) After successfully registering the app will display the status of your smart lock. For those with multiple smart locks, scrolling up or down will display one screen per smart lock. . 7) To Lock/Unlock smart lock, press and hold the "enter" OR MENU button for 2 seconds then release . 8) To register the application navigate to https://turner-tek.com/smartlock click on the PayPal button and complete the PayPal purchase. TROUBLESHOOTING 2FA: ------------------------------------- . Try the below steps to resolve your issue. The two factor auth is very sensitive to the correct order of operations. . (1) reset the application through the watch by navigating to the smart lock application, entering the menu and selecting the reset settings option. . (2) close the smart lock watch application by navigating back to the watch face on your watch. . (3) Open the application settings through your mobile phone and fill out your account details, login method, username and password. Then sync those settings to your watch. . (4) Open the smart lock watch application on your watch and it should request the 2 factor code from August. . (5) close the smart lock watch application by navigating back back to the watch face on your watch. . (6) Once your receive the 2 factor code from August (either through text message or email). Open the application settings through your mobile phone and fill out the verify code field with the code you received from August. Then sync those settings to your watch. . (7) Open the smart lock watch application on your watch and it should login to your account and show you your lock settings. OTHERWISE, If you get an error message saying two factor authentication failed. You will have to try reseting the application again (step 1) and disregard the previous 2 factor auth code from August as it is now expired. Remember that auth codes only last approximately 15 minutes and cannot be reused. . . .
