About
This widget displays the current position and path of the sun through the sky, as well as sunrise, sunset and solar noon times. This is of interest to photographers and solar power professionals.
# Features
* 2D azimuth and altitude angle plot of the sun path at your location
* Shows current sun position relative to your location (solid circle)
* Current sun azimuth angle shown as a dotted radial line (orange during the day, blue during twilight period)
* Shows sunrise, sunset time (12/24 hour format)
* Shows solar noon time (12/24 hour format)
* Shows current period (day, civil twilight, nautical twilight, astronomical twilight, or night) based on sun altitude angle
* Option to show south at the top of the plot (useful for locations in northern hemisphere)
* Directional compass indicator (when a GPS signal is available)
# Usage
The azimuth angle compass bearing of the sun measured clockwise from north. For example, an azimuth angle of 90 degrees, means that the sun is due east relative to your position.
The altitude angle is the angle above the horizon of the sun. For example, an altitude angle of 0 degrees means that the center of sun is directly on the horizon. An altitude angle of 90 degrees means that the sun is directly over your head.
The 2D azimuth and altitude angle plot of the sun path is in spherical co-ordinates. The polar angle represents the azimuth angle of the sun, and the concentric circles growing inward represent the elevation angle (0 deg to 80 deg are drawn). Therefore, the closer the sun is to being directly over your head (altitude angle of 90 degrees) the closer the sun position marker is to the center of the plot.

Solar noon occurs when the altitude angle has reached the highest point for the day. At this point, the azimuth angle is either 180 (due south) if you are in the northern hemisphere or 0 (due north) if you are in the southern hemisphere. This is the horizontal center of the plot.
# PRO Version Features
* Shows 2D azimuth and altitude angle plot of the sun path for summer and winter solstice

* Shows sun position at the top of each daylight hour (open circle)
* Current sun azimuth angle during the night shown as a grey dotted radial line
* Specify a custom location. To use this, enable the "Use custom lat/long position" setting, enter values in decimal degrees for the custom latitude and longitude values, and set the UTC offset for the new position. This will display the sunset, sunrise and solar noon times in the local time of the new position.
* Displays daylight hours, solar time, moon phase, moon illumination %, moonrise and moonset times
