Step Dungeon

About
Description
Your steps are the only resource in this game.
Start a crawl and then go and live your life. Your watch is already counting; every step you take is a step deeper into the dungeon, whether this app is open or not. You never have to leave it running.
Open it again and it tells you what happened while you were gone:
While you were away you walked 4,442 steps, fought off three things in the dark, found a chest, and arrived at the stairs.
An announcer narrates the whole descent, with the enthusiasm of someone contractually obliged to be there.
How a crawl works
Every 1,000 steps is another stretch of corridor, and something might be in it - a fight, a chest, a blessing, or nothing at all. Most of a dungeon is corridor. You earn XP, you level up, you collect loot, and eighteen floors stand between you and whatever is at the bottom.
Reach the bottom of a floor and the exit unseals - but descending is your call, not the game's.
Bosses
Every third floor is sealed by something that will not move. Accept the fight when you are ready and walk the steps it demands inside ten minutes, with the app open and the clock running. That is the only part of this game that asks for your attention at a particular moment. Losing costs you nothing but the attempt.
Blessings
Boots of Haste double your next 500 steps. Berserk pays half again as much XP for the next thousand. A Lucky Charm guarantees your next chest is worth opening. You never have to equip or manage any of it - a blessing spends itself on the thing it promised and then it is gone.
Awards
Fifteen of them, and none are for logging in. They are for distance, for the things you fought, for what you hauled out, and for how deep you got. When one lands the dungeon stops what it is doing to tell you.
Your satchel
One screen holds the running total: level and XP, everything you have found sorted by how rare it was, the blessings you are carrying, and how many awards are still out there.
The campaign
Floor 1 costs 15,000 steps. Every floor after that costs more, up to 270,000 for the last one. This is a campaign measured in months of ordinary walking, not in sessions.
Everything lives on your watch
No phone app. No account. No server. No internet connection. No background process draining your battery. Your crawl is stored on the device and nowhere else, and the game works exactly the same in airplane mode as it does anywhere else.
Built for the wrist
A pixel face, a two-ring progress display, and type sized to be read at arm's length rather than shrunk to fit. Supports Forerunner 955 and newer, Fenix 7 and newer, Venu 2 and newer, and the rest of that generation - 43 watches in all.
What's new
Bug fixes and quality of life improvements.
