The Super Randonnee data field has it's best on a double size data field, but is working also very well on a single small data field. In the small data screen view some of the info is reduced. Grade % received from the Barometric Altimeter or the Grade % received from the GPS 3. Tweak the Grade % Algorithm Smoothness. 4. Radar: last auto speed Data Field SETTINGS - available in the Connect IQ app / My device / My Data Fields / Super Randonnee / Settings: Through the Settings menu in the Connect IQ App you have full control of everything shown and hidden from the Super Randonnee data field. You can use the Grade % not only from the Barometric Altimeter, but also as a backup you can use the Elevation data provided from the GPS. It's useful if your Barometric Altimeter start acting strange especially after heavy rain, when the Altimeter membrane become wet. Also through the Settings you have full control of the Grade % algorithm smoothness - how fast or smooth your Garmin will calculate the % of the Grade. Some other important feature available in the Super Randonnee data field is the SR coefficient (SR coeff). The SR coefficient is extremely useful to check how steep is the distance of your route up to the moment. The Super Randonnee Coefficient (SR coeff) comes from the famous Audax Brevets in the mountains with 600 km length and minimum of 10 000m of Elevation. The SR coefficient on a Super Randonnee Audax Brevet is 1.67 and is the ratio between the Length and the Elevation: 10 000m / 600 km / 10 = 1.67 The SR coefficient is extremely useful if you are training for a Super Randonnee brevet or just want to Improve your Climbing abilities! :) Just aim for each of your workouts to have SR coefficient around 1.67. :) ;) :) The Super Randonnee data field is made from a randonneur for all randonneurs and cyclists around the world.
