About

Manual HR simplifies the process of measuring your own heart rate by manually counting a number of heart beats. This app is mostly useful if your device does not include a heart rate sensor in the clock but relies on a chest strap sensor for HR measurements. If however a heart rate sensor is connected the current HR will show, allowing you to compare the manual measurement in the app with the measured HR by the sensor. Instructions: 1) When the app is ready for supporting your manual heart rate measurement it will alert you by a vibration (this enables starting the app discretely without looking at the watch). 2) Find your pulse - e.g., putting two fingers on the inside of the wrist and at the same side as the thumb 2) Press ”Start” and count, e.g, 10 heartbeats after the one synched with you pressing ”Start”, i.e., count the heart beat when pressing start as 0. 3) The current heart rate is shown and the clock start to vibrate for a while in the same pace as your measured heart rate. This enables you to verify that the measurement is correct, if not just start over. 4) Press ”Up” to save the measurement to the history. Once you’ve done a measurement you may press ”Down” to repeat the heart rate emulation/vibration. When available this is indicated by ”Feel HR” on the screen. Long press on ”Up” to enter the menu that allows you to - set the number of heart beats you want to count, - read instructions, - read an about text with acknowledgements, - see the measurement history as a histogram. Press ”Up”/”Down” to adjust the number of bins in the histogram. Your resting heart rate (i.e., the lowest measured and saved heart rate value) will be shown and your fitness level (based on gender, age and resting HR). Press ”menu” to delete the history or set the number of bins for the histogram in another way.
