check the new *WEATHER AND API KEY INSTRUCTIONS* So much information and the cool thing with this watcface is that it updates your location when you travel (newer watches only Fenix6 and up). Demo will cover all functionality, except datafields in the middle. *WEATHER AND API KEY INSTRUCTIONS* 1. ONECALL API 3.0 https://openweathermap.org/api (it has 1000 requests free a day, which will not be filled, you can restrict calls to 1000, so you will never be billed). OpenWeatherMap made a change in their licensing plan. This watch is dependent on the onecall api 3.0, and openweathermap changed the behaviour that you need to create an separate account. 2. Generate a new key. Some people report that default key didn't work for them. The key is usually activated within few hours from OWM, but in some cases it can take up to a day. 3. Paste this 32-digit key in X3M Weather app settings via Garmin Connect app on your phone. It's the fourth option in this watch face settings, called OpenWeatherMap apikey. Click "Apply" or "Done" or "Save" 4. If you see GPS signal needed! Refresh gps signal - step outside and start an activity. Once GPS turns green, switch back to the watch face - your location will be updated. If your watch is able to get location from your phone: allow Garmin Connect app access to your location and run in the background. 5. If you see Fetching... wait ~5min or don't see weather description - open Garmin Connect app on your phone and sync with your watch. Wait for the next weather update. 6. If you see Check BT connection! Sync with Connect app... - open Garmin Connect app on your phone and sync with your watch. Wait for the next weather update. 7. If you see Need apikey in settings! 32-digit OWM code - Check steps 1-3 and that you have pasted the key into right field. 8. If you see Invalid Api Key, you key is not yet activated, or if it doesn't get activated, contact me, and we can check it out. 9. Garmin Connect (NOT Connect IQ) app must be allowed to run in the background on your phone. This app does not collect or store your info. Permissions are required to get weather for your location and query the weather service in the background.

3.1.8 2022/10/15 - Built with newest framework, new models, tried to minimize crashes. Updatetime should now update again when weather, not every minute. 3.1.7 MAJOR RELEASE 2022/09/08 - READ! openweathermap made a change in their licensing plan. This watch is dependent on the onecall api, and openweathermap changed the behaviour that you need to create an separate account (if you don't have one yet, created before August 2022). However 1000 requests is free and will not exceed with this watchface, because watches are able to make one call each 5min. However if you are a new user to openweathermap, you must create your account here: https://openweathermap.org/api You can restrict your limits to 1000 each day, which is the safest way to avoid any payments. Old accounts works still as normal. I changed the watch logic to support both the old and new API's. This was a surprise, but now you should be able to enjoy this watchface again.
