Electricity CO² Footprint

Check how much CO² is emitted for electricity production in your area and move your consumption to times when the electricity production is greener. Go to https://api-portal.electricitymaps.com/ b. Select API in the "Free Personal Tier" area c. Supply your email address d. Copy the displayed token ** 2. Set the API Token/Key in the App ** a. Start the Connect IQ app on your phone b. Install the "Electricity CO² Footprint" widget c. Open the settings of the widget d. Paste or type the token/key into the "API KEY" field ** 3. Check the Data ** MAKE SURE YOUR WATCH HAS INTERNET ACCESS! The widget has a glance view and a detailed view. The glance view shows the current CO² equivalent per kWh generated, the time and date of the data and to which geographical zone it belongs to. The detailed view shows a graph of the historical data (mostly 24h) and min/max values of that duration. On the first start it might take some time to fetch the data and to reload the widget. ** 4. Adjust the Zone/Country ** By default, the app will try to guess your position using the last known GPS data of your watch. The automatically selected zone might be wrong, or maybe there is no data for your zone, or you want to check another zone. In that case: 1. Navigate to https://app.electricitymaps.com 2. Select the zone/country you want to use 3. Copy the zone/country code from the browser URL. e.g "SI" for Slovenia from "https://app.electricitymaps.com/zone/SI" or "DE" for Germany from "https://app.electricitymaps.com/zone/DE" 4. Open the settings of the widget in the Connect IQ app on your phone 5. Paste or type the zone/country code into the "Zone" field 6. Save 7. Check your watch (you might have to wait till the new data is fetched and the widget is reloaded) ** 5.
