HYROX Race & Training Tracker - Sixteen
· v1.1.0
About
Sixteen times a HYROX asks you to change what you're doing. This app tracks every one of them.
RACE MODE
The official format: 8 runs, 8 stations, in order. Pick your division and the weights come with it - Men's and Women's Open, both Pro divisions, and all three Doubles categories. Shorter session? 75%, 50% or 25% scales every distance and rep count.
TRAIN HOW YOU ACTUALLY TRAIN
Custom mode is the whole app unlocked. Choose any subset of the eight stations, put them in any order you like, set your own distances and rep counts, pick your run distance, or drop the runs entirely. Multiple rounds if you want them. Save up to five sessions and start them again with one press.
WORK TO A CLOCK, NOT JUST A DISTANCE
Any station can be set as a duration instead - two minutes of SkiErg rather than 1000 metres. The timer counts down and moves you on by itself when it reaches zero, so you can keep your hands on the machine.
ROXZONE TIME, TRACKED SEPARATELY
Transitions are part of a HYROX and they're where races are lost. Every transition is timed as its own segment, so you can see exactly what the floor cost you.
BEATS YOUR OWN BEST
No targets to type. The app remembers your fastest time for each segment and turns the timer green while you're inside it, red once you're past. Your SkiErg is measured against your SkiErg.
DOUBLES
Both partners run every metre, but station work is shared. Mark who did each station as you go - it's recorded per lap, and your personal bests ignore the stations you didn't do, because pacing you against your partner's work isn't pacing you against anything.
AN EXPORT THAT MAKES SENSE
This is the part no other app does. Most HYROX apps leave you with sixteen anonymous laps and a heart rate trace. Every lap here carries its own name, type, prescribed distance, reps or duration, and the weight you lifted - written into the FIT file itself. Open the export in any tool that reads FIT and the session describes itself. Session totals for run, station and roxzone time come through too.
BUILT FOR RACE DAY
Start begins and pauses, exactly like a native Garmin activity. Back advances a segment - the button your hands already know. Mis-pressed? Step back, and the clock carries on without you hunting for another button. On touchscreen watches, a buttons-only mode stops a sleeve or a wet wrist pausing your race.
And if the watch comes off mid-session, the activity is saved rather than lost - splits are written as you complete them, so a race that ends early still ends up in your history.
Heart rate zones on the rim, a progress ring that fills as the session does, and a strip at the foot of the screen showing the segment you've just finished, the one you're on and the one coming next.
NOTES
Indoor sessions record without GPS, so distance shows as zero - set Location to Outdoor for GPS-tracked runs. Segment names are visible in the FIT export; Garmin Connect shows per-lap times and heart rate.

What's new
Ver 1.1.0
A rebuilt race screen, timed stations, and a fix for sessions being lost.
- Timed stations: set any station as a duration instead of a distance or rep
count. Counts down and advances by itself.
- Race screen rebuilt: heart rate zones now sit on the rim beside your heart
rate, and a strip at the foot shows last, current and next segment.
- New segment colours - amber runs, violet stations.
- Fixed: taking the watch off mid-race could leave the activity stranded and
need the watch restarted. The session is now saved properly instead.
- Splits are written as you go, so an interrupted session still reaches your
history.
- Menu text no longer clips on some watches.
