We approached it the way we approach everything we make: with the spirit of traditional horology, the same craft and attention to detail we strive to bring to every piece, adapted to work within Garmin's ecosystem. It's fast, efficient, and entirely yours to configure: nine data slots, deep colour control, and multiple typefaces let you build a dial that fits exactly how you train, work, and live. Without ever feeling sluggish or draining your battery. Extensively configurable: Independent colours for accent and data, a choice of typefaces, outlined or solid hour/minute styles, and nine fully assignable data fields covering everything from heart rate to weather predictors. Set it up once, or save multiple looks and switch between them on supported watches. On AMOLED devices, a dedicated Tint feature washes the dial in soft accent colour for a slightly more immersive look. Fast and snappy: Aperture Digital is built to render instantly and stay responsive, no lag switching views, no delay opening settings, no drag on your watch. *please allow a watch face to settle after installation before assessing. Efficient: Every resting-state update is designed to stay inside Garmin's power budget, so Aperture Digital sips battery rather than draining it. Native-level performance and battery behaviour. *Seconds disclaimer: Garmin's power limits mean seconds cannot stay always-on and cannot move fluidly. The maximum screen update rate while resting is once per second, so seconds tick rather than sweep. On Solar/MIP devices, only the top half of the seconds ring keeps ticking while the watch is resting; this is a deliberate trade-off to limit battery drain. *Field names on newer devices: Garmin's built-in editor (used on Fēnix 8 and newer models) labels a handful of fields with its own generic names rather than ours. The field still works exactly as described – only the name shown in the editor differs.
