dreizeit – rest, labour, recreation

dreizeit is a unique watch concept. It symbolizes Robert Owens 200-year-old philosophy: a day with three balanced parts of rest, labour and recreation. “3 mal 8 statt Tag und Nacht”: dreizeit watches do not split the day in the usual two parts, but as a 24-hour scheme with 3 parts of 8 hours each. Each revolution of the hour hand symbolizes time we spend on work, sleep or leisure. A balanced daily routine should be such that the three elements are more or less in equilibrium. The time is given by an analogous hour hand and digital minutes. The index can be rotated, giving free choice which times take the classic 12 o'clock position.
