About

Visualizes the athlete’s presence in a particular pulse zone (PZ, set in Garmin Connect). Also exposes: - PZ statistics during the Activity, - selected additional metrics, - direction: of movement, to north, of wind, - transition between PZs by an audible signal (see 'Tone Info' below). Widgets: = Pulse Zone Gauge - visualizes the athlete’s stay in PZ, supplemented with: pulse (BPM), pulse reserve in % (50% - resting pulse, 100% - maximum pulse). === Dial scale - active in full screen - the current heart rate (HR) value over the PZ scale. === Linear scale - active in other (more miniature) modes - the current HR value displayed by a static arrow over the moving PZ scale. = HR History - shows a retrospective (90 sec) of HR in PZs. = HR Statistics - displays the ratio of the time an athlete spent in different PZs for the entire Activity. It is possible to display additional metrics over the Ribbon (see section below). = Director - displays a combination of directions: to North, of movement, wind (+ speed). Director - Wind speed: To expose the wind speed (m/s) the PZ colors are used as follows: 0-3 - below Z1 color, 3-6 - Z1 color, 6-9 - Z2 color, 9-12 - Z3 color, 12-15 - Z4 color, 15-18 - Z5 color, 18.. - above Z5 color. Tone Info: Can inform about the PZ change with an audible signal. The “direction” of the change and the target zone are encoded by a sequence of beeps: the first two beeps expose the change was upward or downward; the number of beeps after the 1st one (encoding the “direction”), is equal to the target PZ number. The Z2-Z3 transition sounds like LOW-HIGH-HIGH; the Z2-Z1 transition sounds like HIGH-LOW. The active 'Lazy mode' mode filters the repeated notifications (when the HR has "stuck" between PZs, jumping back and forth) - the next notification happens the faster, the further the HR is from the PZs junction, but no later than 20 sec. HR Statistics - Additional metrics: Over the HR Statistics ribbon it is possible to output 2 additional metrics (speed, cadence, ...). The selection of the metrics for an each side of the ribbon is defined by the 'Over Statistics :: Left/Right metric' setting. HR Statistics - Laps: When riding in Laps has been started (the [Lap] button is pressed, or the device has registered a passage of the Lap starting point), the following Lap data appears (instead of the additional metrics): - number of the current Lap, - left: current time on the lap, - right: current value of the aux parameter ('Over Statistics :: Laps :: Right metric' setting). Switched by the 'Over Statistics :: Laps' setting. At the each Lap completion, the following data is recorded: (1) the completed (prev) Lap stats - displayed in additional panel above the current Lap data, (2) the fastest Lap duration - to compare current lap times (on 1.. laps), a relation of the current Lap time to the (2) is also visualized on the HR scale. (3) the slowest Lap duration - to calc the Laps mode timeout (see below). Turning the Laps mode off (and returning the metrics) is possible to do: - by repeated (in 3 sec) Lap registration event. E.g., the [Lap] button is pressed 2 times, or the [Lap] button is pressed after the Lap has been registered by coordinates. - by timeout ('Over Statistics :: Laps' setting = 'On/Off by timeout') when too long (1.2 times of the fastest Lap duration) the Lap completion is not registered. If Lap completion is registered later, then the Laps mode is turned on again, but the slowest Lap duration is not updated with values greater than 1.7 of it (as if you left the Lap route, wandered around somewhere, and returned back to the Lap route then - the time “out of the Lap” should not be taken into account by the auto-shutdown logic).
