Recon Radar

Enhance your ride, run or hike with this handy situational awareness tool. Recon Radar provides a visual radar during your activities, offering insight into nearby POIs. FEATURES: * Pin-points POIs around you * Tri-focal radar: wide lens of 5km range, medium lens of 1km range, and close-up lens of 100m range to help you zero in on your destination INSTALLATION: 1. Install the Recon Radar to your Garmin device 2. In your activity's settings, navigate to Data Screens 3. In a layout with data fields, select a data field to modify 4. From "ConnectIQ Fields" select "Recon Radar" LIMITATIONS: * Internet access is required throughout your activity to continue to update POI locations * Garmin data fields may only access the internet once every 5 minutes; you may need to wait a few minutes for the data to update * Garmin data fields may only update their display once per second; the compass orientation isn't as smooth as would be desired * The default data source is provided via the Overpass API, which unfortunately is not very reliable, so about ~50% of queries have been seen to fail. HOW IT WORKS: Recon Radar uses a global geographical database to query nearby POIs. The data is then displayed on your Garmin device in an iconic interface that rotates like a compass. No identity or location data is stored; see the privacy policy for details. CUSTOMIZATION: The Data Source setting may be updated to query your own data source, which can also be a URL-encoded data URL (MIME type text/plain, *not* base64 encoded). The data format is a CSV of {lat},{lng}[,{marker}], where marker is an optional single character.
