OS Grid Reference

This simple data field can be added to any of the sports apps (Walk, Hike etc.). You can use it with paper maps when you want to get a rough indication of your current location and direction of travel. Six or eight figure grid reference in the format XX eee nnn (e.g. SU 443 263). This display can not be hidden. 2. Four figure Eastings (the first numeric part of the grid ref) followed by four figure Northings (the second numeric part of the grid ref). Both eastings and northings are suffixed with the heading as a compass direction (e.g. N2638 (NE)). This display can be hidden if required. 3. The heading as a compass direction (e.g. N2638 (NE)). When the data field is first added this display is hidden, but it can be added via the configuration options described below. If the GPS fix precision is not considered "Good" then a fourth screen is displayed showing the GPS precision and heading. The configuration options are: - Grid Ref Precision: Choose between a 6 figure or 8 figure Grid Ref display. - Grid Ref Display Time: The duration (between 1 and 60 seconds) to display the Grid Ref display before cycling to another screen. - Show Eastings/Northings screen?: Choose whether to include the Eastings/Northings display in the screen cycle. - Eastings/Northings display time? The duration (between 1 and 30 seconds) to display each of the Eastings/Northings displays before cycling to another screen type. - Show Heading screen?: Choose whether to include the Heading display in the screen cycle. - Heading display time?: The duration (between 1 and 30 seconds) to display the Heading display before cycling to another screen type. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Note: The field is only intended to display GB grid references and so will only work on the UK.
