Sail Race

Sail Race is a no fuzz application turning your watch into a useful navigation aid. The app provides the basic information needed by a helmsman, nothing more nothing less. The idea is to keep the display as clean, simple and easy to read as possible and avoid getting it cluttered with unnecessary information. The app is divided into three views: - Position View providing position, heading and speed. - Bearing View providing bearing to a waypoint, heading and distance to waypoint - Start Watch following ISAF standards with the option to synchronise on 4 and 1 minute signals with additional 3-2-1-Start and Fix start time modes The app offers 15 waypoints that can be created and edited on the fly. It also support navigation to route with up to 15 waypoints. The app is stateful, i.e. you can exit the app and it will return to the state you left it in when re-started giving you the opportunity to save battery life or run other apps. Navigation between functions is easy - use up and down keys to switch between views, start/stop and back/lap to control the start watch and step from one waypoint to the next. A long press on up will reveal current view's menu. Information in Position and Bearing view will when the GPS signal is poor or unavailable shift from white to yellow or red to indicate the position may be unreliable. Exit the app by pressing back/lap when in the position view.
