About

Know exactly how many Discovery Vitality fitness points your activity will earn — before it ends. Discovery Vitality Points is a Connect IQ data field that estimates your Vitality fitness points in real time, using your heart rate, age, and activity duration. The points model follows Discovery's published HR-zone and time-band rules, so you always know whether you're on track for 100, 200, or 300 points — and exactly what you need to do to get there. WHAT IT SHOWS A colour-coded chart shows a grid of heart rate zones (Easy / Light / Moderate / Vigorous) against time bands (15 / 30 / 60 / 90 minutes). Your current position is highlighted, and a trend line traces your average HR over the activity. - Current predicted points — large, coloured by tier (builds through pale pink to full hot pink at 300pts) - Guidance line — how many more minutes at current intensity, and how many bpm above your average to reach the next tier. Example: 18m | 12bpm - Heart rate header — current HR left, session average right - Tier headroom — how many bpm your average can drop before you slip a tier COMPACT AND TILE LAYOUTS On smaller data field slots the entire slot background fills with your points colour — pale pink when building, full hot pink when you hit 300. Unmistakable even in your peripheral vision at speed. ALERTS When your predicted points tier changes, the data field can play a tone and show a full-screen alert on supported devices. ENDURANCE / HIGH PERFORMANCE ATHLETES Members registered for Discovery's Endurance & High Performance programme can enable extended tiers up to 600 points in settings. DISCLAIMER This data field estimates points using Discovery's published rules. Official points are awarded by Discovery after your activity syncs and may differ. What's new

V1.0.1 Expanded device support — now 41 devices Added the full Forerunner, Fēnix, Venu, Vívoactive, and Edge families: FR165, FR245M, FR255/265/955/965/970, Fēnix 7/7S/7X, Venu 2/3, Vívoactive 5/6, Edge 530/830/840/850/1030/1040/1050, Enduro 3, and more. Note: FR55, FR245, Enduro gen 1, Venu gen 1, Venu D, and Vívoactive 4/4S hit Garmin's 32 KB data field limit and are not supported. New colour scheme Updated to a charcoal/silver/hot-pink palette with an optional points-glow effect. Date of birth settable from the Garmin Connect app Birth year, month, and day are now in the mobile app settings — no need to set age on-device. A warning is shown if the 1980 default is still active (which silently causes incorrect HR zone thresholds). Bug fix: "cannot save" settings error Fixed a validation error that prevented settings from saving on some devices. Visual improvements Crosshair outlines for visibility on all background colours. Wider chart area and improved layout on round-screen watches. —— V1.0.0 — Initial release Real-time Discovery Vitality fitness points prediction from heart rate zone × duration matrix. What's included: - CHART layout (rect and round) with full zone × time grid, trend line, and crosshairs - STANDARD zoomed layout for medium slots - COMPACT / TILE layout for small slots and half-tiles - Guidance line: time to next tier and HR delta to next tier - Tier headroom display (optional): how many bpm your average can drop before slipping a tier - Fully customisable tier colours and crosshair colour - HR axis labels: off / bpm values / zone names / both - Endurance / High Performance extended tiers (450 / 600 pts) - Sound alerts and full-screen point-change alerts on tier change - Age from Garmin user profile or manual entry (date-accurate, increments on birthday) Supported devices: Edge 530 · Edge 540 · Edge 550 · Edge 840 · Edge 850 · Edge 1040 · Edge 1050 · Edge MTB · Forerunner 745 · Fēnix 5X Plus
