About

Disclaimers: - CGM App is not intended to serve as or to replace the real-time display of CGM data of the primary device or standard blood glucose home monitoring. All therapeutic decisions, including those regarding calculating insulin or other drug dosages, should be based on blood glucose measurements obtained from a blood glucose meter and not on data from the CGM App. - The CGM app is not intended to analyze, interpret, or modify the CGM data received from the primary device. - The CGM App is not intended to replace self-monitoring practices as advised by a physician. (Note: the wording, "a blood glucose meter", is from Garmin directly - In my opinion I believe they meant to say "approved therapeutic device" instead, in case you are using the Dexcom G6.) NOTE: This app (NightscoutData1, previously named NightscoutData) is no longer being updated. It will continue to work for the devices it currently supports, but the more recent NightscoutData2 should be used instead (https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/76fb451b-b76c-4452-93ad-f9c713c471a5). Data field app that uses ConnectIQ 2 background API to fetch CGM data from your personal Nightscout site, and/or local Spike, xDrip+, or OpenAPS rig. THIS APP MUST NOT BE USED TO MAKE MEDICAL DECISIONS. There is no warranty for this program. This app is not supported or endorsed by Dexcom, Abbott, Libre, Medtronic, Nightscout, or any other party. Requirements: - Requires a Nightscout site running version 0.9.1 or later, or Spike, or xDrip+, or OpenAPS. - Set site URL and other app settings in the phone's Connect IQ app., device application settings. -- For xDrip+ set offline URL to "xdrip" (without quotes) and it will automatically use xDrip's local webserver address, http://127.0.0.1:17580. -- For Spike set offline URL to "spike" (without quotes) to use Spike's local webserver address, http://127.0.0.1:1979. -- For OpenAPS set offline URL to http://rig-ip-address. - Make sure the Connect IQ app on your phone is able to stay active and using data in the background - there are usually system settings on your phone that allow that, for both battery and mobile data. - Be sure to have your Garmin device setting for "Time Source" set to "Auto" (and not "Manual"), to ensure the watchface can sync up properly to the CGM data. - If using mmol units with Nightscout, make sure your site's configuration variable DISPLAY_UNITS is set to mmol (and not mmol/L). - For help with setup, try https://medium.com/trit1dtech/how-to-view-cgm-data-on-a-garmin-watch-or-bike-computer-6846b06801e2 - For older Garmin devices, try https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/8ea31125-3ceb-4937-941c-3e25fcd87ad3 - Still have questions?
