Autumn — Golden-Hour Fall Foliage Watch Face

Autumn is a premium digital watch face with a warm, crisp golden-hour fall aesthetic. A living sky, drifting clouds, rolling hills, and a swaying grove of fiery maple trees are all procedurally rendered — with leaves fluttering from the canopies and woodland critters wandering through. The sky and sun track your real sunrise and sunset, and two configurable complications keep the data you care about on your wrist. FEATURES & DETAILS • LIVING SKY ON REAL SUN TIMES: A procedural backdrop that shifts colors dynamically by time of day (dawn purples, crisp midday blue, amber/crimson sunset, and a starry dusky-purple night), anchored to the actual sunrise/sunset for your location and date. • ARCING SUN & MOON: A glowing harvest sun (with rotating rays and bloom) and a pale crescent moon rise and set along the true day arc. • PROCEDURAL ANIMATIONS: Drifting clouds, gently rolling autumn hills, and a swaying grove of deciduous trees with fiery red/orange/gold canopies. • FALLING LEAVES: Maple leaves spill out of each tree's canopy and flutter to the leaf-litter forest floor. • WOODLAND CRITTERS: Once in a while a little visitor crosses the scene — a squirrel, fox, or hedgehog on the forest floor, a skein of geese overhead, or an owl or bat after dark. Subtle and occasional (one at a time, with quiet stretches between), and easily turned off in settings. • OPTIONAL HOLIDAY THEMES: Two off-by-default toggles dress the scene for the season — HALLOWEEN adds a glowing jack-o'-lantern plus a black cat and ghost, and THANKSGIVING adds a harvest pumpkin patch plus a strutting turkey. • ROTATING SECONDS: A black-outlined maple leaf second indicator orbits the perimeter, drawn on top of everything else so it stays legible over the time, date, and complications. • CONFIGURABLE COMPLICATIONS: Each bottom slot shows Heart Rate, Body Battery, Device Battery, Steps, or Calories (or Off), with a matching warm-toned icon. Defaults: left = Heart Rate, right = Device Battery. A harvest-gold steps bar with a live count sits below. • HIGH-CONTRAST OUTLINES: Clock, date, weather, and complication values all get a crisp black outline for readability against the dynamic backdrops. BUILT FOR YOUR DISPLAY Autumn adapts to your panel: • AMOLED: smooth gradient resource fills, specular highlights, and active background illumination. • MIP / Solar: high-contrast flat fills and optimized backdrops tuned for maximum sunlight readability. Everything is laid out relative to your screen, so it looks right on every supported case size. ALWAYS-ON FRIENDLY On AMOLED, the always-on display switches to a burn-in-safe variant — dim grey time/date, thin complication outlines, and no background animations, with all lit pixels shifted a few pixels each minute. MIP panels always show the full face. SETTINGS • Show Date — toggle the date line. • Step Goal Override — steps for a full harvest bar; 0 uses the watch's own step goal. • Bottom-Left Complication — Heart Rate, Body Battery, Device Battery, Steps, Calories, or Off. • Bottom-Right Complication — same options (default: Device Battery). • Show Woodland Critters — toggle the crossing visitors (squirrel, fox, hedgehog, geese, owl, bat). • Halloween Theme — glowing jack-o'-lantern plus black cat and ghost visitors (off by default). • Thanksgiving Theme — harvest pumpkins and gourds plus a strutting turkey (off by default). PRIVACY Autumn uses only the SensorHistory permission to read Body Battery. It does not collect or transmit any data off your watch. Both off by default. • SMOOTHER & MORE STABLE: A sweep of performance and stability fixes for the always-on/low-power path and slower panels — the always-on display now repaints only the time/date band each minute (well inside the power budget), the AMOLED sky gradient is cached, per-frame allocations and duplicate sensor reads were eliminated, and an adaptive-quality system keeps the scene animating on every device. These resolve reports of the face "freezing" or the seconds marker stalling. • The maple-leaf seconds marker now hides cleanly when the watch is in low power instead of sitting frozen.
