Podium - Speaker Timer
· v1.0.4
About
Podium is a speaker's timer on your wrist. You set up your talk once: the duration, the
moments you want to feel, and the chapters it consists of. On stage, Podium buzzes at the
moments you chose, so you know where you are without breaking eye contact with the room.
It also keeps you honest. Tap through your chapters as you speak and Podium compares you
with the plan: 0:40 behind, or 5:10 ahead, right under the time left. That is exactly what
you need to cut, or how much room you have for that extra story. Afterwards you see what you
actually did, chapter by chapter, and the app learns how your talk usually runs.
WHAT IT DOES
- Buzz moments: a fixed time after the start, a time before the end, or repeating
- Build the buzz yourself: 1 to 5 pulses, short, medium or long, and feel it while you choose
- Chapters: give a moment a name and it stays on screen until the next one
- Live pacing: tap through chapters and see how far ahead or behind you are
- Ring with tick marks for every moment, turning amber and then red
- Five display modes, switchable mid-talk with a swipe: time left, time elapsed, clock only,
ring only, black screen
- Discreet mode dims everything; soft vibration keeps it inaudible in a silent room
- Overtime reminders every 30 s, 1 or 2 minutes, or once
- Pause, resume, and a confirmation before stopping; a running talk survives closing the app
- Summary afterwards, chapter by chapter, and a log of the last twenty talks
- "Usually +1:20": the home screen tells you how this talk tends to go
- Up to 20 talks with their own name, duration and moments; duplicate a talk in one tap
- Glance with the talk you have queued
- English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish
WHAT IT NEEDS
Nothing but your watch. No phone, no account, no internet.
What's new
- New app icon, redrawn so it reads clearly on the watch
