Ever lost your Garmin on the trail? This datafield runs in the background and monitors your bluetooth connection to your phone. If it notices your phone is gone, and presumably you with it up the trail, then it will start beeping until you come back to find it. This is a datafield that you can put on any page, so it can be in one of your deeper pages. It will begin alerting 30-45 seconds after losing the bluetooth connection. Beeps will be every 15 seconds. Once your phone comes back into range, it will begin beeping every 2 seconds until you find it. To stop the beeping, simply tap on the Tethr datafield. Inspired by a crash I had just this past week. My brand new edge 830 fell into a cattle grate. I didn't notice at all as I limped away. The name is inspired by the little tethers that Garmin includes in the box, but nobody actually uses. Only works on Garmin Edge touchscreen devices. Also you should NOT enable auto pause. As monitoring is stopped during a pause (ie cafe break), and an autopause will trigger when your garmin falls off into the bushes.
