This app helps you know exactly when it's time to re-wax, lubricate, or replace your chain—so you can protect your drivetrain and keep your bike running smoothly. Two Counters for Every Chain Wax Cycle: Tracks the distance ridden since the last waxing or lubrication. When your configured maintenance interval is reached, the data field alerts you with a clear color-coded warning. Lifetime Mileage: Tracks the total distance ridden by the chain throughout its entire lifespan. This helps you replace chains at the right time, reducing wear on expensive cassettes and chainrings. Manage Up to 3 Chains Perfect if you use multiple bikes or regularly swap chains. Track up to three individual chains. Assign custom names to each chain. Switch between chains from your smartphone. Separate mileage and maintenance history for every chain. Everything Controlled from Your Smartphone All configuration and maintenance actions are managed conveniently through the Garmin Connect app on your phone—no fiddling with buttons while riding: Reset Wax Cycle: After waxing or lubricating your chain, reset the wax-cycle counter to zero from the settings—handy for maintenance done earlier than planned, for example after a wet ride. Switch Chains: Select the active chain for your current bike. Install a New Chain: The New Chain function completely resets a chain slot—both lifetime mileage and wax-cycle distance—making it ready for a fresh chain. Fully Customizable Configure the tracker to match your maintenance routine, all from the Garmin Connect app: Custom wax/lubrication interval (km) Adjustable warning threshold (default: 90%) Custom chain names Persistent Across All Rides All values are stored permanently and carried across activities, device restarts, and power cycles.
