The hour and the minute sit one above the other, stepped across the dial and set in a bold italic — the hour in mid grey, the minute in white, each over its own shadow. Colour is what tells them apart. The date stands down the left-hand side in two lines: the day and the month above, the weekday below. The date and the charge are set in white. Your calories and your steps are in the club's red, and so is the ring round the outside — because that ring is your step goal, and it belongs with the numbers it counts. At the right-hand edge, the battery as five dots and a reading. When it falls to a fifth, the last dot and the number both turn red. Classic is the other: one line across the middle, the hour set hairline and the minutes a weight heavier, with the date up under the badge and split either side of the dial's own centre line.
