Foil Compass

*Disclaimer* - Use at own risk. This is new and only personally tested so far Foil Compass is a data field for ocean downwind foilers/paddlers etc. who can't always see their finish. Preload up to 5 destinations in the app settings. When you start your activity, Foil Compass anchors the start at your current GPS position and draws a straight line to your active destination. The watch shows four things at a glance: • Big left/right arrow — which way to correct • Distance off the line, in metres • Progress along the run, as % • Distance along the line in km Colour-coded by severity: green within 100m of the line, amber 100–300m, red beyond 300m. Inside the on-line threshold (default 50m, adjustable), a green "ON LINE" indicator replaces the arrow. SETUP Add Foil Compass to your activity data screen. ie SUP → add datafield → Foil Compass Configure destinations in Garmin Connect Mobile →Devices → your watch → Connect IQ Apps → Foil Compass → Settings. Pick the Active Destination before launching. The start anchor is captured on first GPS fix, so you can launch from slightly different put-ins on the same run without re-configuring.
