Marshal - live group event tracking

Marshal shows an event organiser where everyone taking part is, on one live map. Website: https://marshal-live.com Add it as a data field to the activity you already use — run, ride, trail, hike, ski — enter the event code your organiser gives you, and press start as usual. Your position is sent to the organiser's dashboard about once a minute while you are recording. You keep your own data screens, navigation and recording exactly as they are. YOU CHOOSE WHETHER TO SHARE HEART RATE Heart rate is health data, so it is yours to decide about. The settings include a "Send heart rate" switch. Turn it off and the reading is left out on the watch itself — none is transmitted, stored, or seen by anyone, and the organiser simply sees your position and pace instead. Nothing else about taking part changes, and no organiser can turn it back on for you. FOR PARTICIPANTS - Install from the Connect IQ store, add Marshal to a data screen, and enter the event code and your name. - It runs only while an activity showing it is recording. No activity, nothing sent. - The field shows the event code, the time since your last confirmed report, and plain warnings if something is wrong — so you can see whether you are actually being tracked rather than assuming it. - Readings queue and catch up after a signal drop. - Stop the activity, or clear the event code, and it stops. There is nothing to uninstall in a hurry. FOR ORGANISERS - Create an event at https://marshal-live.com, share the code, and watch the field arrive. - Every device shows the age of its last confirmed report and turns amber then red as it goes quiet — because a dashboard that cannot tell you it has lost someone is worse than no dashboard. - Heart rate, pace, distance, cadence, power and altitude appear where the device reports them and the participant has allowed them. - No install for the control room. It is a web page. PRIVACY - Participants need no account and give no email address. A device identifies itself with a random identifier and the display name the participant types. - Positions and vitals are deleted 48 hours after the event closes or the last reading arrives. - Organisers can erase an event's data, or all of their data, at any time. - Marshal receives nothing about any other activity you record, and never your Garmin account. - Full policy: https://marshal-live.com/privacy WHAT MARSHAL IS NOT It is not a safety or emergency system. It depends on a watch, Bluetooth, a phone, a mobile network and a server, and any of those can fail — coverage where people run and ride is often poor. Someone showing green is not confirmed well, and someone showing red has usually lost signal. Do not use Marshal as your means of knowing that a person is in trouble.
