TELEMETRY - Data Dashboard Watchface
· v0.1
About
TELEMETRY is a digital data watch face that turns your wrist into an instrument panel for your body. No decoration, no widgets, no analog hands — a dashboard of six calibrated bar gauges, each displaying performance against a real target:
TIME — position in your waking day (window adjustable in settings)
HR — live heart rate above resting, scaled to your own HR zones. Green near baseline, amber elevated, red high
BB — Body Battery reserve, 0–100. Red when you're running on empty
CAL — calories burned against your daily baseline (adjustable)
STP — steps against your daily goal
WK — weekly intensity minutes against your weekly goal
Goal bars turn green when the target is met. Every scale is printed on the face — no hidden constants, no guessing what a half-full bar means. Battery and stress sit in the side margins. The whole dashboard is drawn in a custom monospaced pixel font, designed glyph-by-glyph for the MIP display: razor sharp, always on, negligible power.
You can only optimise what you measure. Most watchfaces give majority of space to displaying the time, but here, time is just another metric.
Inspired by engineering test equipment, terminal UIs, and the U.S. Graphics Company design philosophy: dense, not sparse; explicit, better than implicit; expose state.
Settings (via Connect IQ phone app)
Day bar start (decimal hours, default 5.0 = 05:00)
Day bar end (decimal hours, default 21.5 = 21:30)
Daily calorie baseline (kcal, default 2200)
All other scales come from your device: HR zones, step goal, weekly intensity-minutes goal.
