Race With Power
· v1.4.3
About
RaceWithPower is a datafield designed to show you useful metrics while racing with power as main metric.
Extra documentation is available on the github page : https://github.com/samueldumont/RaceWithPower. Issues and bug reports can be opened there.
A slack channel for the datafields I'm author/contributor is available here : https://join.slack.com/t/runpowerworkout/shared_invite/zt-ppmb361w-~tx7C56JvQ130c2b8ii_rQ
It can display the following metrics :
1. Time of day
2. Total distance (corrected)
3. Total duration
4. Ahead/Behind for elapsed distance
5. Current power (averaged on custom window)
6. Heart rate, optionally coloured by zone
7. Difference between current power/pace and target time for remaining distance
8. Average power for the whole race
9. Current lap pace (corrected)
10. Current lap power (corrected)
11. Current lap distance (corrected)
12. ETA/Predicted end time based on current lap power and pace
Customization is possible :
- Alert outside of race power target
- Correct distance by pressing on a lap button (within -/+ 10% of the lap distance)
- Choose colors to display (None, Foreground only, Background and Foreground)
- Choose to use custom font (narrower) or standard.
- Disable the current time of day display
- Disable the lap details display
- Choose between ETA and Predicted end time.
- Display a power graph over 30 seconds instead of a single metric.
- Trail Mode
- Automatically adjust power targets (flat, hiking, uphill and downhill values)
- Decrease power targets after a certain number of hours
What's new
New features in this release :
General
-----------
- It is now possible to set the boundaries of alert (-/+ n percent)
- Lots of changes regarding the layout, it will be more consistent across watches
- You can choose to display a graph of power instead of a raw metric. It will also graphically show the upper and lower bounds of alerts
- You can calculate your race target power based on TTE, target time and riegel exponent.
A trail mode is now available !
--------------------------------
You can set 4 power profiles percentage :
- flat
- hiking (below 120 SPM)
- downhill (below -2% grade)
- uphill (above 4% grade)
Based on those settings, power target will automatically adapt. You can also choose to decrease power target by a certain percentage, and define the number of hours before this happens. This is useful for ultra-trails.
1.3.1 : Fixed a few bugs with not properly initialized values
1.3.2 : Added support for FR55 and FR945LTE
1.3.3 : Fix font spacing in upper fields
1.4.0 : Added target power calculator
1.4.1: Setting for averaging is now took into account for the graph display
1.4.2: It is now possible to display elevation, total ascent as well as grade instead of lap pace (for trail mode)
1.4.3: Bugfix for grade display
