About

Resonance breathing at your own pace. Most pacers only set a rhythm. This one measures what you really did: it reads your respiration rate from the watch or chest strap during the session and puts it next to the pace you set. When you finish, you see both. WHY AROUND SIX BREATHS A MINUTE At roughly this rate, heart rate and breathing fall into step. The baroreflex — the loop that keeps your blood pressure steady — reaches its resonance, and the swing of your heart rate with each breath becomes as large as it gets. That swing is carried by the vagus nerve, the main nerve of the parasympathetic system and the one that slows the heart. Breathing slowly and evenly is the oldest and simplest way to engage it. You can watch it happen: your pulse drops while you breathe and climbs again afterwards. The summary shows you by how much. WHAT IT DOES A breathing ring that rises and falls with each breath, with a soft pulse on your wrist at every change of phase. Free rhythm: pick a preset (5.5/5.5, 4/6, 4/4/8) or set inhale, hold and exhale yourself, in half-second steps. Session length from 3 to 30 minutes. Five seconds of lead-in, so lowering your arm does not fall into the first breath. WHAT YOU GET AFTERWARDS How far your pulse moved over the session, measured as the difference between the first and the last thirty seconds — not two single readings, because your pulse swings with your breathing. The range your pulse stayed in. Duration and the number of cycles. Pace set against breathing rate measured. FREE Resonance Trainer is free, with no locked features and no time limit. If it earns a place in your day and you would like to support the work, there is a link below — entirely optional, and nothing in the app changes either way. https://paypal.me/TomaszSieber
