When the watch battery reaches the level you have set the watch alerts you. Alerts are able to be prevented during any time frame you want 'Quiet time' (when you sleep for instance). You can dismiss any alert and it will not alert you for another hour. If/when you recharge the watch past the alert level then alerts will cease until you again reach that alert level. Also you can prevent or allow alerts during any recorded activity. Runs on many models and does NOT change the watch face or modify any existing functions it simply ADDS the ability for you to set a Battery level alert. You can use Garmin ConnectIQ app on your phone so you can setup the alerts or you can set alert level etc on the watch itself.
