LCD-2019 1970s Blade Runner

A faithful homage to the 1970s liquid-crystal digital watch. Brass bezel, positive LCD, every digit drawn from real seven-segment geometry. LCD-2019 rebuilds a 1970s liquid crystal digital watch on your fenix - the kind a certain rain-soaked 2019 detective wore. Cheap, black, brass-framed, and completely unlike anything else on your wrist. It is a positive LCD: dark segments on a pale panel, the inverse of every modern watch face. The brass bezel is thick, because on the real thing the frame is most of the watch and the window is smaller than you remember. The maker's name is printed on the brass above the glass, and DATE is printed on the glass beside the day cell -- exactly where a 1970s module put them. Every digit is drawn, not typed. No system font is a liquid crystal face, so each digit is built from real seven-segment geometry: six-sided bars with mitred ends, the shape an LCD mask etches. Unlit segments are drawn too, faintly, so a 1 sits inside a visible 8 -- and the leading hour cell blanks rather than showing a zero, the way the original does. TWO MODES Default shows the watch and nothing else. Pro keeps that face and adds four readings, engraved on the case rather than the glass: HR heart rate BODY Body Battery PWR days of charge remaining STEP step count Battery is shown in days, not percent, against the fenix 6 Pro's roughly fortnight-long runtime -- and rounded down, so a watch reading 6d will not die partway through day 6. It is the only field allowed to turn amber, and only when it is genuinely nearly flat.
